Bill Simplicity recently attended the 4th Annual World Elder Abuse Awareness Day Conference in Tempe, Arizona to network with businesses and associations dedicated to protecting elderly citizens.
About the WEAAD conference
Held at the DoubleTree Hilton hotel, the WEAAD conference focused on topics related to elder abuse. The purpose of WEAAD is to provide an opportunity for communities around the world to gain and share a better understanding of the abuse, neglect, and exploitation of older people by raising awareness of the cultural, social, economic, and demographic factors that contribute to this crisis.
Bill Simplicity and preventing fraud
One of the topics highlighted during the conference was the financial exploitation of seniors in our community. We often write articles about financial challenges seniors face, especially when it comes to handling their day-to-day financial tasks such as bill paying.
